Our Story
Afterparty is a youth-led nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young women by providing access to formal dresses, promoting confidence, and fostering inclusivity. Through community-driven donation drives and strategic partnerships with local schools and businesses, we collect gently used formal wear from teens and distribute it to teens who lack the resources to purchase their own. Our mission is to ensure that every girl has the opportunity to attend special events with dignity and joy, regardless of their financial circumstances. By creating a supportive network and hosting empowering events, we aim to build self-esteem and create a long lasting positive impact on our community. With a clear fundraising strategy and dedicated team, Afterparty is poised to make a big difference in the lives of young women, one dress at a time.
Growing up, we traveled to Peru each year and saw children our age living with far less than we had. Those experiences stayed with us—the quiet realization that something as simple as clothing could shape how someone feels about themselves.
Years later, we kept coming back to one idea: every girl deserves to feel confident, especially during life’s special moments.
That’s how Afterparty began.
As sisters, we created Afterparty to give young women access to formal dresses so they can show up to dances and events feeling proud, included, and celebrated. What started as a small idea rooted in our childhood has grown into a mission—to make sure no girl misses out on a meaningful moment because of cost.
